The magazine went to the printers on time, so everyone in the British Polio chain did their bit to ensure the bulletin would be posted to you as per the publicised date of 5 March. Unfortunately, a printing error came to light in the charity’s advance copies, on Saturday 3 March, and the members’ distribution was immediately postponed pending an urgent investigation with (and resolution by) the printer.
At the moment, we do not have an explanation for all the jumbled up pages; but the problem was too serious to allow the magazine to be posted out to you.
Central Office is working hard to identify and fix the problem and the printing contract will be reviewed in due course. We still expect the correctly printed bulletin to be with you before the Indoor Games commences, which was always the plan with this particular print schedule.
This printing mistake was totally outside the control of Central Office (or that of our PR Agency). The issue lies firmly with the printing company and we are working to address this for the future. The electronic copy of the bulletin is now available online, for those who would like to read it electronically.
