The annual event is crucially important to charity members as it brings them together and reinforces British Polio’s role in serving some 120,000 Polio survivors throughout the UK – with support, welfare and advocacy.
“The National Indoor Games just get better and better every year,” said Ted. “Some of our members only get to see each other once a year so it really is great for them to get together to meet and compete.”
Attendees were treated to a Gala Dinner on Saturday evening, before the awards ceremony concluded proceedings. Dr Dirk Pilat, from the Royal College of GPs, presented the medals after announcing a partnership with The British Polio Fellowship. The North West region successfully defended its position as Top Region.
