A lover of country and Irish music, Sally Glennon began performing in the 90s and has continued to perform live with her band throughout Europe ever since, with several songs reaching the country charts, with Hearts Beat as One peaking at number five in Ireland. Sally has been described as Britain’s best female vocalist (North Best Gig Guide) and will be singing everything from country and Irish music, to folk, gospel, blues and pop. Tickets are at £8.00 and can be purchased by contacting local organiser Mick Harper on 01673 844 214.
“This event is open to members and non-members alike and we hope people will come along, not only to support The British Polio Fellowship in Lincolnshire, but to enjoy what promises to be a superb evening of music,” said organiser, and Lincolnshire Branch Chairman, Mick Harper. “For those who haven’t seen her before, Sally is an amazing performer who has a way of putting her own unique stamp on every song she sings and is one of those performer’s who make people stop in their tracks to listen, so it is a great opportunity to see her in action.”
“In addition to our national events, our local branches and regions remain the lifeblood of our charity and continue to organise many superb events such as this in their own right,” said Lincolnshire Branch member and British Polio Fellowship National Chairman, David Mitchell. “Organising local events is key to supporting members with Post Polio Syndrome and is one more way we work with communities and help to combat the loneliness epidemic that appears to be engulfing the country. I’m sure local people and members alike will enjoy another great evening’s entertainment.”
