THE BRITISH POLIO FELLOWSHIP CALLS OUT FOR PARTICIPANTS TO NATIONAL RESEARCH PROJECT
Can you help us with our quality of life survey?
We’re looking for husbands, wives, daughters, sons and friends to help us out with our latest healthcare research study into how PPS affects fatigue and quality of life in the over 50s.
Anyone over 50 who has not had Polio can help us by filling in a printed questionnaire that will take no longer than 10 minutes.
We’ve already received responses from more than 200 volunteers who contracted Polio earlier in their lives and now we’re looking for volunteers who have not had Polio to provide the comparative analysis. Even if you are experiencing other health conditions we’d love you to take part and help us with our work to improve diagnosis and treatment of PPS.
The study – in partnership with the Walton Centre for Neurology and Neurosurgery in Liverpool – is looking at how life is affected by those living with the effects of Polio and Post Polio Syndrome compared to those without the illness. The results are expected to be announced in the summer.
