The British Polio Fellowship has launched its re-vamped website, www.britishpolio.org.uk containing more information for Fellowship members and for members of the public interested in knowing more about the charity, Polio and Post Polio Syndrome (PPS). The site has been streamlined so that much of the information like the Living History section – which was previously an external stand-alone site – has been brought under the one ‘roof’ of www.britishpolio.org.uk
The new website has been designed to be more dynamic, easier to navigate, and more accessible for anyone searching for information or help. Updated regularly with the latest news from The British Polio Fellowship, the website also contains useful information for people wanting to know more about living with the effects of Polio and PPS.
“The website is an essential communication tool for the charity,” said Ted Hill MBE, CEO of The British Polio Fellowship. “It has taken a while for us to get the new site right, with lots of planning and discussions to make sure we now have a site that doesn’t just look good, but is easy to use and contains all the necessary features and information“.
“As with all technology, ‘it is never finished’, as things move so quickly, so we’ll be listening carefully to feedback from members and other users on how we can continue to improve the website as an ongoing activity.”
The British Polio Fellowship is a charity dedicated to helping, supporting and empowering those in the UK living with the effects of Polio and PPS. It provides information, advocacy, welfare and support to enable its members to live full independent and integrated lives and works to develop worldwide alliances with other Polio and Post Polio groups for the mutual benefit of its members.
