The European Federation of Neurological Associations has called on the help of The British Polio Fellowship and its members to help them carry out a survey on the impact of living with a brain disorder.
The Patient Initiative Survey: Neurology, aims to:
- Find out how neurological disorders impact on the home, work/educational and social life of those affected
- Explore the association with related conditions/syndromes e.g. mental wellbeing, chronic pain, bladder and bowel disorders, sexual dysfunction etc.
- Assess the satisfaction rates with treatment and management.
The study aims to offer an example to European policy and decision makers as to why neurological conditions, such as Post Polio Syndrome, should be a political priority. Separate reports will also then be broken up by country and specific disorder, which The British Polio Fellowship will then be able to use for our own government and medical communications.
You can complete the short 15 minute survey in English by clicking this link. The deadline for completed surveys is Friday, 9 January and we hope you can take the time to play your part in empowering patient neurology groups.
