Today, The British Polio Fellowship's CEO Kripen Dhrona and new Trustee John Adu attended a Parliamentary Neuro Reception in the Houses of Parliament.
Organised and led by The Neurological Alliance, the event provided a vital opportunity for Parliamentarians to learn more about neurological conditions, hear about the fantastic work of the British Polio Fellowship (and other charities), and explore how we can all work together to improve treatment, care and support for everyone affected by neurological conditions.
The event not only raised the profile of neurological conditions in Parliament, but it was also an opportunity for The Neurological Alliance to celebrate its 30th birthday.
Kripen and John spoke to MPs and people from across the neuro community, including Jonathan Beebee from the Royal College of Nursing and Ruth Stross, The Neurology Academy.
Jonathan is a valued member of the Fellowship's Steering Group which helped to develop its Optimal Clinical Pathway for polio survivors
