There’s the chance to offer a quote as part of a wider article, or even participate in the exciting world of radio and TV broadcasting, speaking about the issues facing those with Polio and PPS.
Alternatively, if you’re happy to speak on behalf of The Fellowship at local events, Central Office can provide you with support and information on how to get the word out in your community. Putting yourself forward as a spokesperson gives you a real opportunity to have your voice heard. Contact Kripen Dhrona at The British Polio Fellowship on 0800 043 1935 or email kripen@britishpolio.org.uk.
Kripen will register your interest and pass your details to a press officer from BeyondPR, who will get in touch with you when we are looking for comment or opinion on an issue for media in your area. If you’re happy to offer a quote, bcs will write a comment on your behalf for you to approve. The process is quick and simple and there’s no writing involved!
For radio and TV opportunities, you’ll be provided with plenty of information on what to expect well in advance. You will have details of who you will be speaking with, the day’s itinerary and the sorts of questions you will be asked, so you’ll feel prepared and confident – remember, they’ll be interested in your experiences and who could be better placed to talk about those than you?
This is a great opportunity to have your voice heard – the Polio community needs you!
