Team BPF Goes the Distance at the London Marathon

Team BPF delivered an outstanding performance on Sunday, 26 April, with our London Marathon runners achieving remarkable results and raising an incredible £11.5K along the way.

It was truly an unforgettable day. The atmosphere was as electric as ever and watching Team BPF take on the challenge of the London Marathon was both inspiring and emotional. Running a marathon is never just about the 26.2 miles on the day, it reflects months of dedication, resilience, and determination.

For our runners, this challenge represented more than a personal achievement. It was a meaningful commitment to supporting polio survivors across the UK who live with the late effects of polio, including post-polio syndrome, while also raising awareness.

“I am so proud of Team BPF for completing the London Marathon. We provide grants for welfare equipment and holidays to help polio survivors overcome problems with mobility and isolation, and the funds raised will go directly towards supporting those who need it most,” said Kripen Dhrona, Chief Executive Officer at the British Polio Fellowship (BPF). “Team members Simon Gregory, Jamie Masters, Rosemary Green, Sarah Woods, and Byambaa Leszczynski have given so much to the charity, raising an impressive £11.5K so far, and still counting.
