Welfare Grant
The Welfare Grant provides practical help for home adaptations, mobility aids, or essential equipment that supports independence, comfort, and safety at home.
What it can cover:
- Home adaptations such as handrails, ramps, or stairlifts
- Mobility aids including wheelchairs, scooters, or hoists
- Specialist furniture or household items that improve accessibility or wellbeing
Who can apply:
Polio survivors living in the UK who are current members of the British Polio Fellowship and have not received a Welfare Grant within the last two years. Applicants should be able to demonstrate financial need.
Grant amount: £500 (maximum)
